2024 is not only a presidential election year in the United States, but in many countries around the world—over 60 countries representing nearly half the world’s population will have national elections this year. With those elections comes the potential for major global shifts. We will focus on elections in three countries: Mexico, Taiwan, and South Africa.
Registration and lunch: 11:30 - Noon
Discussion: Noon - 1:00 p.m.

- Ken Greene, Associate Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin
- Laura Seay, Research Associate at the African Centre for the Study of the United States, University of Pretoria, South Africa
- Moderator: Ambassador Larry André, Jr., Visiting Professor, LBJ School of Public Affairs
Boxed lunches will be provided. Free parking will be available in the LBJ Library visitors’ lot located at 2313 Red River Street.
