Future Forum members are invited to gather at the LBJ Ranch for a Hill Country evening! On Saturday, July 12, bring your family and friends and meet us at the LBJ Ranch for a private tour of the Texas White House at 4:00 p.m. Afterward, we'll head to the Sunset House for a casual dinner. At dusk, we'll head back to the Ranch for a free showing of Viva Las Vegas starring Elvis Presley. The LBJ Park continues the tradition the Johnsons started by inviting the community to see a movie under the stars in a field near the hangar. You are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and movie snacks.
This event is now at capacity; we are no longer accepting reservations for the tour or the dinner. You are welcome to join us for the free movie at dusk (about 8:30 p.m.) at the LBJ Ranch. The Ranch gates re-open at 7:00 p.m.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Viva Las Vegas. Starring Elvis Presley and Ann-Margaret, the musical film features ten song and dance scenes. Presley portrays a race car driver who was attempting to win a race and win the heart of a swimming instructor. You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, and movie snacks. The movie will be shown on a large inflatable screen on the field by the hangar at the LBJ Ranch. Directions to the Ranch can be found online.
